Te Ope Hautū is aimed at Kāhui ako / Across-School & In-School Culturally Responsive Leads, who are leading; Culturally Responsive Practice; Bi-cultural Practice; Māori Learner Success as Māori, as a way to come together to share, support and grow success; where we can whakawhanaungatanga, wānanga the kaupapa, hear about current practice, and collaborate on pathways forward. Uplifting Ngāitahutanga knowledge and resource access is a key component of this forum.
Te Ope Hautū (HUI5) is being hosted by Te Iringa o Kahukura (Cashmere High) and facilitated by Mātauraka Mahaanui facilitators from 12:30 - 2:30. This day also offers an OPTIONAL EXTRA morning session for those who can join Mātauraka Mahaanui at Tākaro-ā-Poi (Margaret Mahy) for a Ngāi Tahu Walk and Narrative in the city (9:15 - 11:30). Walk & Narrative - Numbers are limited (priority given to existing Te Ope Hautū cohort of CRL’s)
